Pricing and Availability

The Honda CB650R and CBR650R will be sold through Honda’s exclusive BigWing showrooms, which cater to the company’s premium and high-performance two-wheelers. The competitive pricing positions these bikes as formidable contenders in the middleweight motorcycle category.

Engine and Performance

Both motorcycles share a common heart: a 649 cc, in-line four-cylinder engine. This powerful motor delivers:

  • 93 hp at 12,000 rpm
  • 63 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm
The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and features a slip and assist clutch for smoother gear shifts and reduced lever effort. While Honda’s patented e-clutch was rumored to be part of the update, it has not been introduced in the Indian models for now.

This engine setup is renowned for its refined performance, making these bikes versatile for both city commutes and spirited rides on highways or twisty roads.

Design and Styling

Honda has made notable changes to the design of both models, enhancing their appeal.

  • Honda CB650R: A neo-retro naked motorcycle, the CB650R gets updates such as new tank extensions and a revised rear section. Its minimalist design, circular headlight, and sharp styling cues align with the modern café racer aesthetic.
  • Honda CBR650R: A middleweight supersport bike, the CBR650R features a redesigned twin LED headlight setup and sharper side panels, giving it a more aggressive and sporty look. Like the CB650R, the rear section has also been updated.
